COVID-19 Business School Bulletin
June 24, 2020
Asia School of Business
The COVID-19 situation in Malaysia continues to improve. Malaysia recently instituted the third phase of its national lockdown called the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO). Under the RMCO, restrictions on interstate travel, the opening of food courts, and some additional elements of day to day life are now allowed. The RMCO will be in place until August 31st. Additionally, the Ministry of Higher Education announced that current international students will be allowed to return to Malaysia for the fall. The continued improvement in the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia gives us more confidence that we will be able to kick off the MBA program on September 28th for the Fall 2020 semester. If you are still interested in applying to ASB, please reach out to us at admissions@asb.edu.my. We are still accepting applications on a case-by-case basis. Visit us at https://asb.edu.my/academic-program/mba-admissions for more information.

Rutgers Business School - Newark and New Brunswick
For Full-Time MBA applications for Fall 2020, the deadline is July 5. After that, we will accept applications on a rolling basis. Merit scholarships will be available to qualified applicants through July 5. Fall semester begins September 1, with a mix of face-to-face and virtual delivery. Due to the continuing challenges in completing GMAT and GRE tests, Rutgers Business School will waive the GMAT requirement for select, new applicants to the Full-Time MBA program. Priority will be given to Rutgers alumni, veterans of the US military, and STEM professionals (scientists, engineers, programmers). Test waiver is dependent on all admissions criteria, and is not guaranteed. RBS does not require the GMAT or GRE for applicants already holding a doctoral degree or law degree from an accredited US university. Applications to the Part-Time MBA program will be considered throughout the summer. Existing criteria for test waivers remain in force. Questions? Email rkwan@business.rutgers.edu so our admissions counselors can help you work through individual circumstances. Due to the current pandemic, we are willing to waive the application fee. To request a waiver, please put “RBS Cares” in the email subject line.
